Because that's what we're doing, right? Preserving your memories. It's not lost on me the amount of trust you place in my hands when welcoming me into your world. Weddings & funerals are the only time all your favorite people are in one room - let your wedding be spent together, soaking in that togetherness as opposed to far away from the party doing a photoshoot outside the celebration. I am unconcerned if my work performs well on social media or looks good in an instagram square... my sole purpose & priority is to curate a wedding album that artistically documents your family history. My desire is to interfere as little as possible, photographing your day as it unfolds. Your wedding should (& will) flow as one big celebration... not broken up into different photoshoot blocks. The level of intimacy & closeness is determined by the access I'm given. My recommendation? Throw open the doors & let me in as both a guest & a historian. Digital + film photography are my mediums of choice. Your family's history at the top of my mind.

A mix of candid & portrait photography throughout the course of your day. Preserving the memory of your wedding day through a documentary approach does not exclude portrait photography from the mix! I believe formal family portraits & limited, posed wedding party & bridal images add to the final gallery. Classic bridal portraits outlast time & trends.
Gentle guidance from start to finish.
Throughout our time together, I will absolutely ask you to look at my camera, step in closer, look towards the sun, etc., You will not be left on your own, wondering what to do. That being said, the more you live in the moment & enjoy your day, the less guidance will be needed. The joy of documentary photography is simply opening yourself up to me & letting me into your world. It creates the very best outcome.

There is such thing as too much of a good thing & I never want you to feel that way about your wedding photos. I shoot for quality not quantity. While I cannot promise that it will be easy to pick which photos to print, I can promise that you'll be deciding between the best of the best images as opposed to weeding through a million duplicates. I believe when you trusted me with your wedding, you trusted my photo selection as well.

All the pictures you're seeing here are the product of 5 years of refinement through the fire. As you can imagine, my work has been weathered through many a photo trend & way-too-orange color filter... you just don't know what you don't know when you're first getting started! I can finally say that my work now is a true representation of what i've wanted my photos to look like all along... i'm so grateful. Here's to documenting the little things & not concerning ourselves with what tiktok tells us we should do or care about. Timeless, artistic & honest - just like your grandpa's film camera. That's what i'm all about.
With all of that in mind, I do not change my style for clients. I say that with all of the love in my heart! There is just no way for either of us to be happy with the end product if I attempt to edit/shoot like another photographer. Does that mean you can't send me pinterest inspo? absolutely not! Please show me allll the pictures you're inspired by. That part actually helps me get a feel for the vibe you're going for. I will happily take your inspiration & give it a good ole Sophie Axie Mae spin! So yes, please keep the inspiration coming haha.

Fine art albums are available to add on to any of my packages. Nothing quite displays your wedding photos like a layflat photo album that can be displayed in your house <3 because what else are your pictures for but to be enjoyed? heads & tales better than stored away on your computer.
After your full wedding gallery has been delivered via online gallery, I will get to work designing your album, We will work together to make sure that your favorite images are included, alongside whatever photos I feel best compliment your choices + take you back to the feeling of your wedding day.
